Obituary of Salvatore C. Rappa

Mr. Salvatore "Sam" C. Rappa, 75, of the Assisted Living Home in Pennfield, New York, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Highland Hospital following a brief illness. Born on September 25, 1933 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Peter and Anna Rappa. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Rappa was employed with the NYS Department of Transportation for over 30 years. He was of Methodist faith. On June 30, 1963 in Fort Plain, NY, he married Bertha H. Null. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2006. Mr. Rappa was also predeceased by his brothers, John Rappa and Caesar Rappa; and a sister, Mary Ann Edick. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diana and John Graziano of Amherst, NY;five grandchildren, Steven and Matthew Feifel, Shannon, John, and Michael Graziano; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
