Mrs. Evelyn T. Abeling, 83, of Bunker Hill Rd., Mayfield, New York, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.
Born on August 20, 1925 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Harry Youker and Irene O'Hara. She was a graduate of Dolgeville School. She had been a resident of Mayfield since 1970, previously residing in Canajoharie, NY.
She was employed as a secretary for Celico until her retirement. In her retirement she went to work for Uni/Decker Records part time.
Mrs. Abeling was of Catholic faith.
She enjoyed bowling.
On May 10, 1947 at St. Joseph's Church in Dolgeville, NY, she was married to James J. Abeling. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1981.
Mrs. Abeling is survived by her daughter Leslee and Kurt Shibley of Gloversville, NY; a son Garry J. Abeling of NY; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
