Obituary of Donna M. Jones

We mourn the loss of Donna Jones as she has passed from this life to the next on October 31, 2023.  She leaves her husband of 58 years, Gerald Jones, daughter Brenda and son and daughter in law Jeff and Jen, granddaughter Quinn and grandson Tucker and is predeceased by her daughter Bonnie, sister Peggy Allen and their parents. Donna is survived by her brother and her nieces and nephews.  Donna made an impact on so many lives and has a large family that is not blood related, but family by choice.  She was an honorary mother and grandmother to many over the course of her life, including Terry, Christopher, and Zaria Walcott and their families.  Her favorite four-legged friend, JJ, was never far behind with lots of kisses. Her kind heart and thoughtful nature made her a good friend to many as well.  She was always ready to supply a cheery hello or a plate of cookies to whomever needed it most.  We will remember Donna cheering the loudest and longest for her favorites: the Mets, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp, her racecar drivers, even to be heard over the roar at Fonda, at school sporting events and musical performances.  Donna was a leader in her family. She lived her life on her own terms, steadfastly holding onto her convictions, but supporting her loved ones through all of their challenges along the way- no matter what!  She was so very proud of her grandchildren, eager to share all of their accomplishments and plans with all who would listen to the long lists.

A graveside service and interment will be held in the early summer.
