Obituary of Ruth Youker

Mrs. Ruth Youker, 88, of Northern Terrace, Fort Plain, NY died on August 26, 2023 at St. Mary's Healthcare of Amsterdam.

Ruth was born in Ames, Ny the daughter of Edward Null and Harriet Akins Null, both who predeceased her.

She was educated in schools in Ames and Canajoharie.

For many years she had worked at LaSalle Labs, then went on to work at the Palatine Bridge Nursing Home for several years as a nurse's aid.

She was a lifetime area resident.

On April 11, 1959 in Canajoharie, NY she married George Youker, he predeceased her on June 12, 1979.

She was also predeceased in death by her daughter Linda Youker on February 16, 2022, and her siblings, Edward Null, Albert Null, Thelma Fredericks, Sue Smith, Bertha Rappa and Alice Yacobucci.

Survivors include her son Floyd and his wife JoDee Youker of Fort Plain; grandsons Jordan and his wife Lane Youker of Kentucky, and Chad Youker of Tennessee; brother Harold Null of Canajoharie; great granddaughter Izabelle; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on September 22nd, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Fort Plain Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
