Obituary of Shirley Ann Maring

Shirley Anne Maring, Rural Grove, NY-

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Anne Maring on October 1st, 2022, surrounded by her husband Bill Maring of 54 years and her daughters Michelle and Marilee Maring.
Born December 15, 1947, in Ashville, N.C. She was extremely proud of her southern and Cherokee heritage.
Shirley had many hobbies including her avid Disney collection, camping, fishing, going to garage sales, auctions and preparing for her favorite Christmas holiday.
She spent her life helping others by being an avid member of FFVAC and the local fire department; being a foster parent and opening up her heart and home to foster children after being one herself.
We would like to thank her dear friend Mary whom has helped in many ways, Jon and Linda Maring. Hospice nurse Amanda, SW Suzzane and her Elvis LPN Julie. The “Lovely Ladies” who transported her to be at home; her neighbor, her friend, Pastor Josh and his wife Julie and their family; her neighbors Don and Jane; Chaplin, R.W and her many friends who came into her life. We would also like to thank Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home for their kindness and caring in helping with arrangements.
Shirley is survived by her husband Bill Maring of 54 years and her daughters Michelle and Marilee Maring. Her grandchildren Josh Maring, Shelby Whipple, and Elsie Womble. Her Great grandchildren Mattilyn, Marleigh, Natalie, and newest addition Micah. Her niece Colleen who she was recently reunited with and loved very much.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
