Mr. Calvin T. Christman, 72, of Old McKinley Road, Palatine Bridge, New York, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at St. Johnsville Nursing Home. Born on August 22, 1937 in the Town of Palatine, NY, he was the son of Theron Christman and Mildred Smith Christman. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1954 and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Christman was the owner and operator of the Canajorha Dairy Farm for over 40 years, until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Canajoharie United Methodist Church, where he also served as Trustee. Mr. Christman served as an officer for Canajoharie Co-op Milk Producers for 20 years, serving as treasurer for many years. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau Holstein Friesian Association. Mr. Christman enjoyed woodworking. On February 2, 1963 in the Little Falls Methodist Church, he was married to Beverly J. Herringshaw. Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage. Mr. Christman is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Christman of Palatine Bridge, NY; sons, Bryan Calvin Christman of Guilderland, NY; Jeffrey Scott and Tina Christman of Ames, NY; sisters, Lavina Wilson of Palatine Bridge, NY, Alma and Donald Tice of Carlisle, PA; grandchildren, Kayla Christman of Ames, NY, Shawna Christman of Schenectady, NY, Thomas Christman of Ames, NY, Tyler Christman of Ames, NY; aunt, Gladys Nagele of St. Johnsville, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
