Obituary of Nellie May Watson

Mrs. Nellie Watson, 92, of Crouse Blvd., St. Johnsville, New York died Monday, July 4, 2022 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born on January 1, 1930 in Greenville, NY, she was the daughter of Robert Charles Aber and Laura Carter Aber.  She was a resident of upstate New York most of her life.

She was a mother and homemaker, and helped her husband on the farm.

Nellie enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, and cooking.

On February 26, 1948 Nellie was married to Charles Watson, Jr.  He preceded her in death on April 9, 2019.  Her 5 brothers and 5 sisters also predeceased her.

Mrs. Watson is survived by her children, Charles S. Watson, III and Kathleen, Roy E. Watson and Traute, Shirley M. Glezen and Greg, Sally A. Hazzard and David, Mabel F. Ehrenreich and Bill; grandchildren, Carla Flanigan, Carl Watson, Charles Watson IV, Karen Travins, Arlena Biechy, Christina Bunker, Tammy Taylor, Eric Watson, Wesley Watson, Lisa Kelly, Michele Jones, Cheryl Murphy, Cathy Zanella; 31 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Noon at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 11:00-12:00PM at the funeral home.  Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.
