Mr. William David Green, 73, of McQueen Road, Perth, New York died unexpectedly Friday, February 25, 2022 at his home, as a result of a fire. Born on August 4, 1948 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of William G. Green and Evelyn M. McNeilly Green. He attended Fort Plain Schools and was a lifelong resident of the local area. He retired from Beech-Nut in Canajoharie as a Product Handler. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. William was predeceased by his first wife, Darlene Reid Green; second wife, Beverly Green; brother, Clarance Green; sister, Florance Green. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Green Paratore and Joe of Fort Plain, NY; grandchildren, Jillian and Preaston Paratore; sisters, Beatrice Boyer of Fonda, NY, Margaret Halvorsen and Richard of Delanson, NY, Dora Murphy of Virginia Beach, Harriet Sharpe of Fultonville, NY; step-grandson, Brian Swank of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 6:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5:00-6:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00am.
