Obituary of Geraldine Cardamone

Mrs. Geraldine Cardamone, 69, of Cliff Street, Canajoharie, New York, died, Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home peacefully in sleep. She was born on April 23, 1941 in Fort Plain, NY. Mrs. Cardamone attended area schools and spent her lifetime in the local area. Mrs. Cardamone was a loving mother, homemaker and caretaker for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many friends' children who affectionately called her "Grandma". She was of Catholic faith. She loved to read, her pets and lighthouses. On April 8, 1961 at the former St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church in Canajoharie, NY, she was married to Michael Cardamone, Jr. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2005. Mrs. Cardamone is survived by 3 sons, Michael and Patricia Cardamone III, Frank J. and Connie Cardamone, Matthew M. Cardamone, all of Canajoharie, NY; 3 daughters, Gretchen Ann Cardamone, Cherie R. Cardamone, both of Canajoharie, NY, Elizabeth M. Cardamone of Fonda, NY; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Cardamone, Crystal Ann Cardamone, Amanda Haig, Anthony Michael Cardamone, Natasha Cardamone, Madison Cardamone and 5 great-grandchildren.
