Mr. Kenneth DeBlock, Sr., 81, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Born in Goshen, NY, on April 17, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Zuidema) DeBlock, Sr. Ken was a dairy farmer in New Hampton, NY until 1973 when he moved his young family to their dairy farm in Fort Plain. Ken proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie. He is also survived by his seven children, Debra Quackenbush, Patricia (Jay) Pallozzi, Laura (Mike) Pamkowski, Marjorie (Don Maselli) Hall, Carolyn (Linus Wells) DeBlock, Kenneth (Suzanne Hill) DeBlock, Jr., Gregory (Peggy) DeBlock, Sr.; and their families; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ken was also predeceased by four brothers, Peter, Nicholas, Sidney, and John. The DeBlock family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who cared for Ken at Albany Medical Center and Bassett Healthcare and Hospice for their care and assistance during this time. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 10:00AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. Burial will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 1:00PM. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
