Mr. Lloyd E. Miller, Sr., 78, of Marchand Manor, Sharon Springs, New York died, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown following a long illness. Born on April 16, 1932 in Middlefield, NY, he was the son of Percey Miller and Ruby Beadle Miller. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1950. Most recently Mr. Miller was of Marchand Manor in Sharon Springs, previously residing in Gloversville. Mr. Miller was a taxi driver for various taxi companies. He served as a Corporal in the US Army from 1951-1954. Mr. Miller loved fishing and watching NASCAR. He was an avid bowler, even making Television appearances for his ability on several occasions. On July 26, 2008 in Amsterdam, NY, he was married to Dolores E. Bragg. He is predeceased by his wife, Marie S. Miller in 2008 and all 4 of his brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Dolores E. Miller of Gloversville, NY; 9 children, Susan L. Miller of St. Johnsville, NY, Thomas E. Miller of Gloversville, NY, Barbara L. Sparks of Amsterdam, NY, Tina Miller of Saratoga, NY, Laurie J. Boone of Schenectady, NY, Lloyd E. Miller, Jr. of Balston Spa, NY, Michelle Ruby of Amsterdam, NY, David Miller of Richmondville, NY, Pamela Jean of Plattsburgh, NY; 2 step-children, James Carkner of Boonville, NY; John Carkner, Jr. of Sloansville, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
