Mrs. Linda Howard, 63, of Monk Road, Sprakers, New York died, Monday, October 3, 2011 at her home. Born on January 27, 1948 in Oneonta, NY, she was the daughter of Alvin Harris and Betty Collar Harris. She attended Milford High School and spent most of her life in the local area. Most recently Mrs. Howard worked for Beech-Nut in Amsterdam, NY. She celebrated her 30th year there this week. She was of Methodist faith. Linda enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards with friends, going to yard sales and auctions. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Howard and her parents. Mrs. Howard is survived by her 2 brothers, David Harris and Richard Harris of Sprakers, NY; sister, Shirley A. and Wayne Perce of Greenfield Center, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Alan Griffith officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.
