Obituary of Nettie A. Reynolds

Mrs. Nettie A. Reynolds, 77, of Highland Terrace, Fort Plain, New York went to the Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Born on July 11, 1934 in the Town of Stamford, NY, she was the daughter of Fred B. Smith and Margaret J. Cameron Smith. Mrs. Reynolds spent much of her time taking care of others. She was an aide at Palatine Nursing Home for several years and also cared for people at their homes. Nettie had been actively involved with the Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance service as well. She was a member of the Sprakers Reformed Church. Mrs. Reynolds loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crafting which included woodworking, liquid embroidery, painting and sewing. Many of her crafts were completed with the help of her husband, Raymond, prior to his death on December 4, 2007. Raymond would often build a project and Nettie would provide the finishing touches with a fresh coat of paint. She also had a love for crossword puzzles. Nettie was predeceased by her brother, Leslie D. Smith. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her 3 sons, Rodney Reynolds and his wife, Sharon of Fort Plain, NY, Keith Reynolds and his wife, Karin of Owego, NY, Mark Reynolds and his wife, Christine of Cherry Valley, NY; sister, Margaret Joyce Smith Bogardus and her husband, Dennis of FL; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at the Fort Plain Reformed Church on Saturday, October, 22, 2011 at 11am with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating.
