Mr. Scott J. Hassan, 43, of Albany, New York died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home unexpectedly. Born on November 13, 1969 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Leslie B. Hassan and Donna Kougher Hassan. He was a graduate of Schoharie Central School. Mr. Hassan was a Chef for several Capital District Restaurants. He was of Protestant faith. Scott enjoyed music. In addition to his parents, Leslie and Donna Hassan of Esperance, NY, Scott is also survived by his daughter, DeAndre Wheelock of Cobleskill, NY; sister, Paula Jean Walker of Central Bridge, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Contributions in memory of Mr. Scott J. Hassan may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
