Obituary of Albert W. Cole

Mr. Albert W. Cole, 78, of Moyer Street, Canajoharie, New York died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. Born on August 18, 1934 in Fort Plain, NY, he was the son of the late Leland Cole and Jane Dievendorf Cole. He was a 1953 graduate of Fort Plain High School. Mr. Cole is a Veteran of the US Army, serving from 1953 to 1956. He retired from LifeSavers in Canajoharie in February 1989 after 33 years as an overwrap operator. Albert also worked for M.W. Roosevelt in Canajoharie for 45 years, retiring in 2005. Mr. Cole was predeceased by his brother, William L. Cole on May 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Suits Cole of Canajoharie, NY; 3 sons, Jeffrey David Cole and his wife, Lyndal of King City, CA, Michael Cole and his fiancé, Nancy Johnson of Canajoharie, NY, Anthony Cole and Julie Ruszkowski of Canajoharie, NY;5 grandchildren, David Jeffrey Cole, Shayla Marie Cole, Lucas Edward Cole, Garrett Johnson and Mackenzie Ruszkowski. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:00am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Orville Jay Hines, Jr. officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery with full Military Honors at graveside by the Active Duty Military. Contributions in memory of Mr. Albert W.
