Obituary of Alta Rose Beyer

Mrs. Alta Rose Beyer, 98, most recently of Wheelock Street, Canajoharie, NY died Friday, November 22, 2019 at Palatine Nursing Home.

Born on February 15, 1921 in Grand Junction, CO, she was the daughter of David E. Hawk and Zeta Farmer Hawk.  She was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Beyer was a mother and homemaker.

She loved Country Music, dancing, playing Jacks and Balls, and going for rides, especially to Granny’s Ice Cream.

On June 17, 1942 Alta was married to Donald J. Beyer, Sr.  He preceded her in death January 8, 1973. She was also predeceased by a baby girl and all of her siblings.

Mrs. Beyer is survived by her children, Loretta Beyer, Robert Beyer, Donald Beyer, Jr., David Beyer, Carolyn Beyer, Ted Beyer, Clifford Beyer, Raymond Beyer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th, 2019, at 10:00AM at the Fort Plain Cemetery.
