Obituary of Willard R. Green

Mr. Willard R. Green, Jr., 58, of Mohawk Street, Canajoharie, New York passed away unexpectedly, Friday, July 26, 2019.

Born on July 12, 1961 he was the son of Willard R. Green and Betty Jane Swartz Green.  He had been a resident of the Canajoharie area since 2008, previously residing in Germantown.

Mr. Green was a building and grounds keeper for Bard College for over 35 years.

He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Palatine Bridge.

He enjoyed working on computers.

In Canajoharie in 1985, Willard was married to Tammie Neale.

His parents and nephew, William Ates predeceased him.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Tammie Green of Stratford, NY; daughter, Kari Beth Green of Canajoharie, NY; son, Joshua Green of Fultonville, NY; 4 sisters, Rose Ates, Barbara Mureness, April Raux, Loretta Green; granddaughter, Luna Rae Crews; as well as many nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00PM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 165 W. Grand Street, Palatine Bridge, NY 13428.  Burial will take place in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Willard R. Green, Jr. may be made to Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, Inc., 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
