Obituary of Michael Rosemyer

Mr. Michael Rosemyer was born August 21, 1924 in Little Falls, NY to Samuel and Agnes Rosemyer, immigrants from Hungary. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School. Mr. Rosemyer joined the US Navy in 1942 and served in the South Pacific until he was honorably discharged in June of 1945. He worked for 32 years for Sperry/Univac in Ilion and Utica, NY. He also had a beef farm, raising pure breed Herfords during the 50's. Mr. Rosemyer resided in the Mohawk Valley his entire life and at the time of his death resided in Barneveld, NY with his wife, Joan. He enjoyed family functions, wintering in Florida, golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Joseph and daughter-in-law, Georgene of Fort Plain; daughters, Jane and son-in-law, Richard Heinrich of Holland, MI, Kathy and son-in-law, Henry Jordan of Chesapeake, VA; step-daughers, Patty and John Senchyna of Remsen, Kathy Bierman of Utica; brother, Joseph Rosemyer and wife, Marion of Frankfort; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Michael belonged to several civic organizations during his lifetime including The Elks Club, VFW, and various Senior Citizen's clubs. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Holland Patent, NY. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Holland Patent at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 5th. Interment will follow at Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Salisbury, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Michael Rosemyer may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, Inc., 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
