Obituary of Lowell Francis Buffett

Mr. Lowell F. Buffett, 86, of Church Street, St. Johnsville, New York died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. Mary’s Healthcare of Amsterdam, following a brief illness. 

Born on August 7, 1931 in Osceola, NY, he was the son of Arthur R. Buffett and Grace Stedman.  Mr. Buffett left High School to join the US Army.  He was a resident of the local area for the past 30 years.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War, then enlisted in the US Air Force.

Mr. Buffett was a line installer for GTE, working all over the United States.

He was a member of the American Legion, a life member of the VFW #6378 of Dickinson, TX; and enjoyed being around his family and friends.

His brother, Donald W. Buffett predeceased him in 1987 and his brother Alton R. Buffett predeceased him in 2015.

Mr. Buffett is survived by his 4 children, Pamela J. Murrello of TX, Jeffrey S. Buffett of TX, Lowell Mark Buffett of TX, Brenda Meador of Gloversville, NY; step-daughter, Bonnie Hughes of LA; sisters, Marjorie Jean Buffett of Ava, NY, Twila Buffett of NY; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as 2 former wives, Gloria Hardy, and Marcia Saunders.

Burial will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00AM.
