Obituary of Ronald W. Dingman

Mr. Ronald W. Dingman, 73, of Dingman Lane, Palatine Bridge, New York died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home. Born on March 7, 1941 in the Town of Canajoharie, NY, he was the son of Charles Joseph Dingman and Jessie Irene Pomella Dingman. He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1959 and attended many different Military Schools. Following High School, Ronald entered into the National Air Guard. He worked for GTE Phone Company for over 40 years then worked as a propeller man for the Air Guard. He then worked for the US Air Force in the civil engineering department in New York State. Mr. Dingman was a Master Sergeant for the US Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Corvette enthusiast. Ronald was a member of the Gentleman's Corner Hunting Club and the Bleeker Gentleman's Hunting Club, St. Johnsville Masonic Lodge #611, Free and Accepted Mason's of St. Johnsville, NY. On September 29, 1978 in Ephratah, NY, Ronald was married to Jacquelyn A. Maring. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2007. Mr. Dingman is survived by his daughter, Rhonda and Charles Oliver of California; sons, Scot Dingman of McKiney, TX, Shawn A. and Annette Dingman of Palatine Bridge, NY; step-son, Lance R. and Linda Hill of Cobleskill, NY; sisters, Karen Ellen Carryer of Tampa, FL, Elaine Marie Marks of Bethesda, MD; 4 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held in the Spring and announced at that time. Arrangements are under the direction of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
