Susan Stokes, 65, of Gloversville, NY, died at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Susan was born on March 28, 1958, the daughter of Romuald and Ruth Woidscheutzke Reuchlein, who predeceased her.
She graduated from Fort Plain High School and then went to Hudson Valley Community College, where she earned a dental hygiene degree.
Most recently, she worked as a dental assistant at Camp Mohawk in Fonda for 15 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, playing pool, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her cats.
Susan was a Church of the Holy Spirit member in Gloversville, NY.
Survivors include her companion, Adam Valachovic; sister, Esther and her husband, Stephen DuBois; nephews, Nicholas Cramer and Michelle Rogers, and Matthew and Kristin Cramer; step-niece Kelly and her husband, James Dufrense; and step-nephew Kirk and June DuBois.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, April 2, from 10:00 am- 12:00 noon at the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 153 S. Main Street, Gloversville, NY 12078; a memorial mass will follow at noon. The family is under the care and direction of Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
Burial will take place at Fort Plain Cemetery.
