Mr. John Riddle, Jr., 72, of Clark Road, Fort Plain, NY died on November 6, 2023, at his home, under the care of hospice, with his wife by his side.

John was born in Akron, OH on November 22, 1950, the son of John E. Riddle, Sr., and Isabelle Smith Riddle, both predeceased him.

After graduating high school, John spent most of his working career at Beech-Nut as a cook. When he retired, he had worked there for over 40 years.

He enjoyed traveling, always going and moving around traveling on his motor scooter. He is also known to help people in need, and always looked forward to spending time with his friends. But more than anything he always looked forward to spending time with his grandson.

On July 5, 1986, he married Ellen Crews, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Freysbush, NY.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Ellen Riddle; son, Justin Riddle, daughter, Stephanie Riddle (Keith Baker); siblings Kenneth Riddle, Roger, and his wife Beth Riddle; Linda and her husband David Micale; Janice Kneep; and Lisa and her husband Jim Stout; and beloved grandson Alaster Baker; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 10th, 2023, at Fort Plain Cemetery at 11:00am, all are welcome to attend.
