Obituary of Hiroko Reardon

Mrs. Hiroko Reardon, 78, of Webster Street, Fort Plain, New York passed away early Friday morning, March 16, 2018, at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born on January 1, 1940 in Tokyo, Japan and had been a resident of the local area since 1967.

Mrs. Reardon worked for Richardson Brands in Canajoharie, NY for many years.

She was of Buddhist faith.

Mrs. Reardon was a member of the Fort Plain VFW Earl Stock Memorial Post #3275 for over 40 years.  She loved deep sea fishing and the ocean.  She was a legand for her Japanese cooking and throwing parties.

Her son, Charles “Chas” Smith, III and grandson, Tyler Smith predeceased her.

Mrs. Reardon is survived by her daughter, Tracy Fisher of Fort Plain, NY; sons, Allen Smith of Missouri, David Smith of Fort Plain, NY; 10 grandchildren, Charlie Smith, Zachary Smith, Christopher Smith, Joshua Smith, Kayla Wilder, Tiffany Smith, Taylor Smith, and Hunter Smith, Zachary Strobel, Tabetha Strobel ; great-grandchildren, Emma Smith and Sloane Smith.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 starting at 2:00pm at The Fort Plain VFW.  Burial will take place at a later date at Mohawk Cemetery.
