Celia Bogardus, formerly of Fort Plain died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Livingston Hills Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, New York. Born on July 15, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Hanna Jones. Celia married Frank Bogardus on September 16, 1941 with whom she resided prior to entering Livingston Hills. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Plain. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Twila Denegar of St. Johnsville and Betty and William Hermance of Livingston whose home she and Frank have shared for the last few years. She is also survived by two sons, Ralph Phillips of Pine Hills, Callifornia and Frank and Jacqueline Bogardus of Rensselear. She is also survived by a sister Lucy Jones of Schenectady. Also surviving are grandchildren Nathan and Tonya Bogardus, Diane McCrady, William Hermance, Jr., Sheri Fascella, Garth and Gordon Eggleston, and Garlyn Maginnis. She is survived by several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren in California and New York. She was predeceased by brothers Harold, Earl, Mynard and Archie Jones and a sister Irene Miller. For many years Celia and Frank spent the winters in Sebring, FL and were active in the Sebring Senior Citizen Club in that city.
