I will always be greatful to Edward and Doris as they were so very kind to allow my mother in law Louise Thompson to stay with them for 6 weeks while my wife was a patient in NYU hospital in the late 1980's. I still remember when I was very young going with Edward and his father and family to the Canajoharie Hotel for a holiday dinner each year. May he rest in peace

My sympathy is extended to Ed's family.
I am a classmate of Ed's from sixth grade through to graduation from Canajoharie High School. While we took different paths for years, we re-connected when we had several class reunions - our last in 2003. Then I was so happy when he and Doris came to my husband Fred's memorial service in 2002. I last saw him at Doris' visitation in 2004.
He was a dear friend and colleague who I will miss.

I only met Mr. Shineman a few times but the immense love my daughter-in-law, Carrie Wallack, (his granddaughter) has for him, only portray him as a wonderful man. One great memory I do have, is watching him at Carrie and Russ's wedding play piano with my then 7 year old granddaughter, Miriam. He carefully let her play at her own pace, smiling all the time, following with beautiful musical interludes while letting her lead. What a beautiful sight and what a magnificent man.

Tom and family please accept ur deepest sympathy for your loss. I only met Mr Shineman Sr. once in New York, so don't feel that I know him personally. Nice to know more about what he did with his life. A great loss to his family and the community.
We are sorry to be so far away at this time. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Although I never met Mr. Shineman, I have to say that he raised a wonderful son in Tom. That is the best teatimonial that I know. Through Tom, I got to know a little about Mr. Shineman, his love for his family and his many interests. My prayers go out to the family at this time of loss.
