Obituary of John Aron, Jr.
Mr. John Aron, Jr., 79, of Sprakers Road, Sloansville, Schoharie Co., NY, died on April 17, 2023, at home with his wife by his side.
John was born in the Bronx, NY on March 4, 1944, the son of John Aron, Sr., and Antoinette Boniewski Aron, both who predeceased him.
He was a graduate of Canajoharie High School. Class of 1962.
John served in the US Army with the rank of E5, during the Vietnam war, while he was stationed in Germany.
Up until his retirement 2006, he worked as a machinist, working for GE, in Schenectady, and Gorman Brothers for over 20 years. He also enjoyed dabbling with old trucks, and woodworking.
On December 9th, 1994, in Schoharie, NY he married Mary Benson, who survives.
He was predeceased in death by 3 sisters Stella Slimack, Elizabeth Jones, and Jean Aron.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Benson) Aron: his son John Aron, III (Corinea); grandson John IV, and Joseph Aron; brother Theodore Aron (Terri); nephews Kyle and Nicholas, Todd Aron, Richard Slimack, and Adam Slimack, Jr.; stepson George (Nancy) Benson, and daughter Jasmine Tomlinson (Andrew).
A Graveside service will be held at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
