Obituary of Blanche E. Logan

Mrs. Blanche "Skeeter" Logan, 78, of Hickory Hill Road, Fort Plain, NY died on March 17th, 2023 at St. Mary's Healthcare surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on May 13, 1944, in Stone Arabia, NY the daughter of the late Ralph and Blanche Moyer Steenburg. 

Mrs. Logan was a graduate of East Springfield High School. 

Blanche had run a successful business with Tom, and her brother in laws, Logan Bros. Farms. She was also employed by Jacksland Associates, the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Montgomery County, Dr. VanWagenen's Animal Hospital, and the Center for Disabled Services. 

She was a member of the Sprite Club of Dolgeville, where she enjoyed going fishing with her grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family, hunting, fishing, biking, cooking, crafting and gardening. Everyone who knew Blanche knew she was a fan of any type of racing, including snowmobiles, with her even racing snowmobiles with her brother in laws, Art and Ed,  her love of racing also included NASCAR and stock cars, where she enjoyed watching her grandson Jeremy race. Going to the truck pulls, with her son Garth  and the "Family Tradition" truck was another love of hers. When she got the chance to go to Montana with her sons to hunt elk and mule deer, she enjoyed this so much she and her lifelong friend Pat Johnson took a road trip back out to Montana. In recent years she enjoyed making TikTok videos with her granddaughters. 

Blanche was predeceased by her granddaughter Alexandria Carter, sister Alice Snyder, and brother Howard Steenburg. 

Survivors include her daughter Colleen and her husband Kelly Wilder; sons, Tom and his wife Lisa Logan, Bill and his wife Becky Logan, and Garth Logan; 2 brothers William and Cindy Steenburg, and Alan and Hazel Steenburgh; 10 grandchildren, her former husband and friend Tom Logan, Sr. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family invites family and friends to viewing from 1:00-4:00 on Thursday March 23rd, 2023, at Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317, with a funeral immediately following at 4:00PM. 

Burial will take place at VanHornsville Cemetery, at a later date.

She was a legend and left a well guided legacy.
