Q: What will you never forget about Sally-Jean?
A: Sally was a wonderful, caring, friendly person. I had the pleasure of meeting her & Art through my late husband Fritz.
Fritz always loved Sally’s cookies/bars. She would always send some home with him.
I’m truly blessed to have known Sally. She will be missed.
I know Sally, Art & Fritz are together again, catching up on times past.
My condolences to the family.

Q: How did you meet Sally-Jean?
A: I met. Sally in the. Reaney. Writers Group at the. Library in St Johnsville. She read her work aloud there as we all did. She was working on a novel about a family. We got to feel as if we actually new these people. Each reading added more detail to their lives. I kidded her that she seemed to be writing another “Gone With the Wind.” It is by now a very long book with many chapters. I feel a bit sad that it will never be finished and published. We got to know these people who grew from her vast imagination. She was a very bright and talented person and an interesting person to know. She thought widely., had many interests and seemed to be a constant creator of fascinating things. She was also always a bit of a mystery. We will miss her fertile mind. Donna Veeder.

With all the years that I knew, Sally, she never had a bad word to say. She was always so kind to me, always asked how I was always asked how everyone was in my family. We worked together for so many years and with all those years, you seem to become like family to each other, I had seen her last year and she said I have something for you. She had an old cookbook that she wanted to give me because she said she knew how much I loved to cook. I will treasure that always. iIt was recipes compiled from all the people that we used to work with. I will always remember her kindness to me and my family and I will surely miss seeing her. Much love to all your family.

Sally is my inspiration for what I am writing.
She was a writer that excelled in bringing her thoughts to paper with pen and later on with type.
She was a dedicated gardener and displayed her green thumb talents by all that grew around her home.
She dearly Loved her family and it shows up in each and every one of them. Sally loved Otis and so did I.
She is missed here and welcome where she now is!

Sally you will be so missed not only as a friend but someone I would go to learn an new embroidery stitch or a new craft project that we were working on. You were always willing to help out whenever needed and we will miss your classes you did for us at the library. I will think of you often but it has been a tough journey for you and now you can rest in peace without pain and suffering. Our condolences and prayers to your family.
