Obituary of June Henrietta Kaiser

June H. Kaiser, 95, passed away at home in Canajoharie, NY on November 25, 2022.  She was born on January 23, 1927 in Jamaica, Queens NYC to parents Matthew and Henrietta Muller Balling.

Following graduation from Jamaica High School, June served as a caregiver to her mother.  Later she was employed at Jamaica Savings Bank in the Mortgage Department.

June and Ferdinand Kaiser were married on May 16, 1954 and blessed with 58 years together until Ferdinand’s death in 2012.

Survivors include two sons, David Kaiser and his wife Tamara of New Jersey, Clifford Kaiser and his wife Laurie of South Carolina; Four grandsons, Matthew, Christopher, Jeffrey and Kevin; And several nieces and nephews.

June was predeceased by her brother Richard Balling and his wife Marion.

June was a member of St. John’s & St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Canajoharie, NY.  She sang in the choir, was a church council member, and served as financial secretary for many years.

June was as a former member of the Valley Choralaires vocal group.  She also loved to walk and tend to her gardens.

The family will recieve friends and relatives from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday December 2nd, 2022 at Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. A funeral will take place on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. John and St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Church Street, Canajoharie, NY. Burial will follow at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
