Obituary of David Whitehouse

Mr. David L. Whitehouse, 68, of South St. Johnsville Road, Fort Plain, New York died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Mountain Valley Hopsice in Gloversville, NY.

Born on June 5, 1954 in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of Gerald O. Whitehouse and Beatrice M. Kneeskern Whitehouse.  He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1972 and was a lifelong area resident.

He loved being a Dairy Farmer for his dairy farm.

David was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon.

He was a member of the FFA, and Young Farmer's Organization.  He enjoyed feeding people and he loved to make people laugh. Making people smile was his life's purpose.

On July 20, 1999 in Gloversville, NY, David married Mona Musgrave.

His parents, Gerald and Beatrice; and son-in-law, Daniel Firman predeceased him.

Mr. Whitehouse is survived by his wife, Mona Whitehouse; sons, Darin and Tiffany Whitehouse, Derik Whitehouse, Ryan Whitehouse, Kyle and Brittany Whitehouse; daughters, Jessica and Sam Peyton, Erin Firman; brother, Timothy Whitehouse; 9 grandchildren, Kadin, Mark, Connor, Logan, Kylie, Natalie, Braelyn, Jace, Addison; former wife, Amy Wolf; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Shelly Flanders.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00AM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 131 Clark Road, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Burial will take place at Ephratah Rural Cemetery at a later date.
