Obituary of Edward Dodson

Mr. Edward Dodson, 51, of Old State Road, St. Johnsville, New York died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. Born on September 23, 1970 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Carl Dodson and Deborah Brownell Dodson. He was a lifelong resident of the local area. Ed was a Truck Driver and Mechanic, most recently working for BTA Trucking in Fultonville. He was a member of Brookfield Garden Tractor Pullers. He loved being a dad and his favorite thing was going on adventures with his kids. He was a very selfless and loyal friend. He is survived by his parents, Carl and Deborah Dodson of St. Johnsville, NY; children, Dorothy Dodson, Wyatt-Henry Dodson; he had a special place in his heart for Skyler, Andrew, Gavin, and Emma; siblings, Mr. and Mrs. William Dodson, Shelley and Shane Presley, Betty “Bobbie” Dodson; nieces, Shelby, Hannah, Autumn; nephew, Dakota; loyal friends, Dana Lambert, Clyde Hayes, and Gilbert. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.
