Robert J. Bowler, age 92, of Gloversville, NY, died May 20, 2021 at Mountain Valley Hospice Home in Gloversville, NY. He was born April 6, 1929 in Ames, NY to Marvin E. Bowler and Beatrice (Alkinburgh) Bowler He grew up and attended schools in Ames and later, Canajoharie. Robert worked most of his life on road construction, and building and painting houses. His last job was working for the Boy Scouts of America as a Ranger at Woodworth Lake, Bleecker, NY. He loved hunting, fishing, bowling, and the Yankees. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers; Sidney, Arthur, and Donald, a sister, Helen Marie, his wives, Betty (King) Bowler, Janet (Swartz) Bowler, and Mary Valenti Bowler. Also a grand-son, Richard Taylor, He is survived by his four children; Deborah Taylor (Ralph); Cathy Davis (Ken) both of Fort Plain, NY; Robert M. Bowler (Sue) of Schodack Landing; and Roberta Gould (Jonathan) of Pflugerville, TX. eleven grand children: Richard Taylor (deceased) (Tammy): Rebecca Nearbin (Mark); Toby Hogan (Janene); Todd Hogan (Heather); Cristy Collier; Jason Bowler, Heather Raffin (Steve); Renee Gancarz (Jonathan); Mariah Bowler; Jonathan Gould III (Selene): Alexander Gould (Jaime); Zachary Gould. 20 Great-grandchildren, and 5 Great-great-grandchildren. Also, step-son, Jim Valenti. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00AM at Fort Plain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice Home, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078
