Obituary of Andrea J. Null

Mrs. Andrea J. Null, 65, of Wagners Hollow Road, Fort Plain, New York died Saturday, March 27, 2021 with her children by her side, following a short battle with cancer. Born on August 26, 1955 she was the daughter of Guy and Margaret Siegle and Leo and Jacqueline Arduini. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and of Goddard College, where she received her Master's degree in Education. She was a lifelong area resident. Andrea taught school for 22 years through St. Johnsville and OESJ School Systems. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Canajoharie/Fort Plain Elks, PARP (Parents as reading partners), and volunteered at local food pantries. On March 21, 1987 Andrea was married to Robert M. Null. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2008. Her father, mother, and step-father also predeceased her. Mrs. Null is survived by her daughter, Vanessa and Zak Tooly; son, Jacob Darrow and Andréa Berardi; grandchildren, Samuel and Jacqueline Darrow; brother, Guy John Siegle and his wife, Cindy; sister, Viola Pliszek; step-mother, Margaret Siegle; and special friend, Jim Pendergast; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 30th from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Fort Plain Cemetery.
