Mrs. Hilda Marie (Hillabrandt) Dustin, 87, of Main Street, Fort Plain and formerly of Johnstown, New York passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. Born on December 12, 1932 in Johnstown, NY, she was the daughter of Austin and Edna Moran Hillabrandt. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1950 and was a lifelong area resident. She worked for Upstate Telco Federal Credit Union from 5/15/1980 – 9/26/2003. She retired as an Office Clerk and Loan Manager. She also worked for GTE (now Frontier) as an Office Clerk and Personnel Assistant from 10/16/1950 – 8/21/1971. On August 21, 1970 Hilda was married to Charles R. Dustin. They were married 34 years until his death on January 12, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents; son, James D. Dustin (9/17/2017); brother, James H. Hillabrandt, who was killed in the Normandy Invasion 12/4/1944; and sister, Mary H. Hillabrandt in 1981. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish and it’s Rosary Society. Mrs. Dustin is survived by her step-children, Debra Mowrey, Dr. C. Dean Dustin (Miriam), Lynne Dustin (Paul Hudson); daughter-in-law, Jessica Dustin; grandchildren, MaryJo Bush (Ken), Jessica Eaton (Jeff), Anthony Mowrey, Jr. (Renee), Andrew Raneri (Angela), Steven Raneri , Gregory Raneria (Cassandra Prokop), Oliver and Penelope Dustin; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Jocelyn, Makenna Bush, Noah and Kalena Eaton, Cecilia, Anthony, Josephine Mowrey, Vivienne and Vera Raneri, Connor Raneri. At Hilda’s request there will be no viewing or calling hours. Burial will take place at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Hilda Dustin may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave. Ext., Gloversville, NY 12078.
