Miss Cheryl Swartz, 54, of Dygert Street in Nelliston, New York died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born on February 15, 1966 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Ralph C. Swartz and Thelma M. Morton Swartz. She was a graduate of Fort Plain High School and attended FMCC. She was a lifetime area resident. Cheryl was a machine operator for Amsterdam Printing and Litho and was caretaker to both her parents. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Fort Plain. Cheryl enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her father, Ralph C. Swartz of Nelliston, NY; daughters, Victoria Lander and Marissa Lander both of Gloversville, NY; siblings, Karen Bennett of Mayfield, NY, Robert Swartz and Christiane of Nelliston, NY, Timothy Swartz of Fort Hunter, NY, Willard Swartz and Darlene of Amsterdam, NY, Ralph Swartz of Fort Hunter, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 6:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4:00-6:00PM at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Miss Cheryl Swartz may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.
