Obituary of Justine A. Nightingale

Justine A. Nightingale, of Nestle Road, Fort Plain, New York passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 15, 2019 in Cooperstown, NY.  She touched so many lives in her two and a half years.

Born on December 21, 2016 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Justin Nightingale and Kayla Knoblauch Nightingale.

Justine was born prematurely and was a March of Dimes “Purple Baby”.  She was everyone’s Superhero Princess.  She enjoyed going fishing with her sister, shredding tissues and paper, blowing raspberries, and watching Tom & Jerry, Peppa Pig, and Looney Tunes.

Her maternal grandparents, Charles and Laurie Knoblauch predeceased her.

Justine is survived by her loving parents, Justin and Kayla Nightingale of Fort Plain, NY; sister, Laurie Mae Nightingale, who loved being a big sister and helping her mom care for Justine; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Maryannn Nightingale of Canajoharie, NY; uncles, Daniel Nightingale, Jr., David Nightingale, Chuck and Ann Knoblauch; aunts, Kayla Ann Nightingale, Heather Nasypany; “Uncle Mark and Aunt Dori”, who affectionately called her, “Steeny-Beeny”; as well as several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 12:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
