Please share a memory of Louis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mr. Louis Michael Mifsud, 40, of Marshville Road, Canajoharie, New York died peacefully, Thursday, July 25, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.

A miracle was given to Louis and Jill Mifsud (Chambers) on December 4, 1978 in St. Louis, Missouri as Louis Michael Mifsud was born.  Shortly after, he moved to New York, then Medina, Ohio, where he lived out his teenage years.  He attended Walsh Jesuit High school and was involved in football (defensive end), basketball, and track (Discus, Shot-put, 800m, 1600m).  He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Class of 2004.  He lived in California and came home recently to seek treatment and have the support of his family, which allowed him to spend time outdoors and with his new puppy.

He was the owner and director for his company Bedrock Motion Pictures.  He also worked for Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier, where he was in charge of all the equipment to ensure the safety of all visitors, as a master mechanic.  He worked for What’s Happening Productions in Guilderland and was a former artist and actor.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

Largely influenced by his rustic upbringing, he became an enthusiast in hunting, fishing, boating, and any kind of outdoor activity he found to be a challenge.  At age eight, he hunted deer for the first time with his father and shot a 17 point-buck.  It was simply a tale of things to come as he continued to have many great achievements.  At age sixteen, he completed his first novel entitled, “The Rage Within”.  He was passionate for writing of all sorts, body building, the outdoors, and movies.  He won first place in a short movie contest in which his brother was the starring actor, winning $5,000.  His senior project film debut was shown in Madison Theater in Covington, KY, with many of his family and friends in attendance; it was titled “Death by Design”.  He also wrote a book of poetry, January 1, 2000- Beginnings, Endings, And Everything In-Between.

He is predeceased by and now reunited with all four of his grandparents, his cousin, Maria Saginario, and his aunt, Debbie Chambers.

Louis is survived by his parents, Louis S. and Jill E. Mifsud of Canajoharie, NY; sisters, Julia (Timothy) Stetson, Bethany (Joshua) Condit, Angela Mifsud; brother, Michael Mifsud; Godparents, Maria “Mary” and Phil Saginario; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who miss him deeply.
