Obituary of Francine M. Wellman

Mrs. Francine M. Wellman, 82, of Canajoharie, New York, passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at St. Johnsville Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side.

Born on January 1, 1936, in the Town of Palatine, NY, she was the daughter of Sherman Smith and Harriet Peeler Smith.  She was educated at Fort Plain Schools and was a lifelong area resident.

Francine was employed with Premiere Gloves in Johnstown, NY, in the Payroll Inter-Company Billing Department for over 19 years, retiring in the late 1990’s.

Her brother, Nolan Smith; sisters, Betty Sutterly and Denise Looman, predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughters, Candi Williams of Fort Plain, NY, Rhonda and her husband, Peter Briele of Palatine Bridge, NY; grandsons, Lee Williams (Lynne) of Fort Plain, NY, Justin Williams (Pimchaniporn (Mim)) of Niverville, NY, Peter Allen Briele of Palatine Bridge, NY; 2 great-grandchildren, Oliver and Molly; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda, NY.
