Miss Nancy L. Mein, 81, of Otsego Street, Canajoharie, New York passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Hospital in New York City.

Born on November 16, 1936 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Harold A. Mein and Gladys Smith Mein.  She was educated in Canajoharie, NY public schools until attending Penn Hall Preparatory school and Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg, PA.  She was a graduate of Catherine Gibbs School in Boston, MA.  She then moved to Minneapolis, where she held various secretarial and administrative assistant positions in the city.  Nancy studied Piano under Elsie Wolf Campbell in Minneapolis.  She later went on to teach Piano at MacPhail School of Music and did recital and orchestra work in the city.

Nancy became a world traveler, meeting many new people, and experiencing many interesting places, often photographing her journeys.

Miss Mein is survived by her cousins, Susan Bruso of Maine, Barbara Gruidl of Minnesota, and William Rosenwald of Minnesota.    

A graveside service will be held Madrid Cemetery in Madrid, NY at the convenience of the family.
