Obituary of Peter Delgado

Mr. Peter T. Delgado, 62, of Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, New York died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility in Amsterdam, following a long battle with cancer.

Born on May 23, 1955 in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Wanita Delgado. He had been a resident of Amsterdam for the past 30 years.

Mr. Delgado was a self-employed contractor.

He was of Christian faith.

Peter loved camping and taking his kids to Amusement Parks.  He also enjoyed playing music and spending time with his grandkids.

His nephew, Anthony predeceased him.

Mr. Delgado is survived by his sons, Anthony Delgado and his fiancée, Gerricka Fahy of Fort Plain, NY, Bendenier and William, both of New York City; 3 granddaughters, Madison, Aaliyah, and Julianna Delgado; brother, Anthony.  For 11 years Peter helped raise four children with Tina, James, Terry, Chris and sister, Tanya.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 7:00pm at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.  Following services cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium in Schenectady.
