Obituary of Lorraine D. Larbell

Miss Lorraine D. Larbell, 67, of Walnut Street, Canajoharie, New York died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, following a long illness.

Born on November 18, 1950 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Louis Larbell and Ester Holtz Niemyer.  She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School and was a lifetime area resident.

Most recently Lorraine worked for Spaulding Golf in Johnstown, NY.  She had also worked for LifeSavers.

Lorraine enjoyed playing the lottery, watching NASCAR, and traveling to NASCAR Races.  She also liked spending time with Angel.

Her baby sister, Brenda Lee Larbell predeceased her.

Lorraine is survived by her brother, Louis “Lou” Larbell and Gail Capece of Canajoharie, NY; sister, Linda L. Pettey and husband, Bill of Sprakers, NY; nieces, Brenda Lee and Theresa; and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, at 7:00pm at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
