Obituary of Thomas L. Coppernoll

Mr. Thomas "Tom" L. Coppernoll, 65, of Garlock Street, Canajoharie, New York passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 28, 2017, at his home. Born on January 17, 1952 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Floyd Coppernoll and grandson of Marion Abbey. He attended Cherry Valley and Canajoharie Schools and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Coppernoll was an outside sales representative for Capital Winair. He was a member of St. John's & St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Canajoharie, where he served as Church Council President. Tom enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching TV, and shopping. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. On August 25, 1973 at The Reformed Dutch Church of Stone Arabia, Tom was married to Gail Scott. His parents and 4 siblings predeceased him. Tom is survived by his wife, Gail Coppernoll of Canajoharie, NY; daughters, Tara Smallwood and fiancé, Carlos Torres, Jena Coppernoll and fiancé, Douglas Lopez; 2 grandchildren, Jayla Smallwood, Damian Lopez; and 8 siblings. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday October 5th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at St. John and St. Marks Lutheran Church, Church Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Thomas L.
