Mr. Douglas L. Bull, 85, of Corbin Hill Road, Sloansville, New York died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Born on August 11, 1931 in Passiac, NJ, he was the son of Arthur Bull and Edna VanDunk Bull. He had been a resident of the local area for the past 30 years, previously residing in Rockland County. Mr. Bull was a scientific tech for Lederle Labratories for many years, also doing landscaping on the side. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening and motocross. On July 16, 1955 in Suffern, NY, Douglas was married to Kathleen Rose. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2009. His brother, Art also predeceased him. Mr. Bull is survived by his daughters, Edna and Don McGrath, Jr., Sally and Tim Ingersoll; grandsons, John McGrath, III, William Ingersoll, Ryan McGrath, and Michael Ingersoll all of Sloansville, NY; great-grandson, Landon McGrath; and sister-in-law, Stella Bull. Arrangements have been entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
